I had to go to driving school after my first ticket. Did you know headrests are actually to prevent whiplash, and not for resting heads?? Yeah. I was shocked too.
That's the only thing I learned. |
So let's see if I understand this correctly (since I've never been to driving school)...
You get a ticket and the policia tell you that you can go to driving school so you can learn to drive more safely on the roads. You spend, what, 8 hours in driving school on any given Saturday, right? They show you the correct way to drive, the things that could happen if you drive recklessly, etc. and the only thing you come away with is the benefit of a headrest??? What a great way to waste some time!

I'm apparently a bad boy.
Started my career of chatting with the popo by getting a warning for 38 mph in a 25 zone two weeks after obtaining my license....
Pulled over a number of times for exhaust inspections and measurement of bumper height in my late teens/early 20's - never cited once because I knew the laws and was legal.
Open container/contributing to delinquency of minors at age 18 (all my buddies were 17) - $150
Three speeding citations, 72 in a 55, 68 in a 55 and 68 in a 35 I don't remember what they all cost but had to go to court for the 68/35....
Several verbal warnings including one where it was noted that I was doing 72 mph in a 25 mph zone and "still accelerating".... my x knew the officer because he got free food all the time at the restaraunt where she worked.... I also didn't get cited when I rolled a car at 90 something while drag racing.... the state police officer thought I had learned my lesson... I did, I bought a car with a bigger engine....
Young guys with big V8's and a constant desire to make them faster sometimes aren't a good mix....
