There's a couple up there at which I would enjoy a stay. I wouldn't stay at most of them because I can't afford it. If I do stay somewhere, it's usually a Motel 6, Red Roof Inn, or Best Western. Just because they're cheap, but not so cheap that it is sleazy.

Funny you bring that up. I just finished reserving a room at Comfort Inn. I usually stay there and just signed up for their rewards program. Lots o' travelin nowadays.

Any of the Starwood family, and my favorite of those is The W.
You need an 'other' option.

Talk to PH. There was an other option, but it got dropped as you can only have 10 choices for a poll.

Then by all means, drop the Days Inn!

I worked a summer at the Holiday Inn and I've got this goofy loyalty gene, so I keep going. Plus, part of their corporate policy is that every Holiday Inn has a pool. And with kids, that's all they care about. I'm also a junkie about the Priority Club points which even with my meager travelling, I can get a free night every couple years.

We usually like smaller, family-run budget hotels, like this one:
http://www.acaciahotel.nl/
But when we go to London this winter we'll be staying at the Holiday Inn because, as jrjo said, they got the pool and that's what the Goettes care about most of all, forget Big Ben, the Tower of London, St. Pauls, they want to take a daily dip!

I worked a summer at a La Quinta, and for that reason I DON'T go there.

Of these choices presented, I pick the Hyatt. But the best by far is the Westin. They have "The Heavenly Bed". That's if we are going with chains. I enjoy quaint little B&B's as well.
