5 slow miles outside. Lot's of snow and ice here, so headed to one of my winter routes - the parking lot of the local megamall. It's the perfect winter running spot - lights, salted, .75 mile for each lap and there's a Starbuck's right there so I can get some coffee when I'm done
Nice run rob - indoors? - that's a lot of laps

Not really.... if I lose track (like I did this morning) I can usually figure out what lap I'm on based on my watch. I know that a 7:30 pace computes to 3:00 every 5 laps. It's screwy but it works for me. I have motivational issues running in crappy conditions at 5:30 a.m. plus the cold triggers my asthma.

4 miles 28:30
7:40
7:10
6:41
6:59
Average pace 7:07
Some guy passed me around 1.1 miles and after pondering whether or not I should catch up to him and pass him back, I decided to pick it up. Narrowed the gap from about 250 yards to roughly 40, then he cut across a parking lot and went to his car at mile 2.8.
