 No kidding. Like pouring down freezing rain with huge cracks of thunder n lightning. We were forecast for an ice storm and they didn't cancel school.  Right now there are children on busses.  WTF??

we had 4-5" of snow last night and are suppose to get another 6-12" today... with sleet mixed in.

It was worth going out in the storm for pizza and beer, though, Paul!
Every school in the area was closed - except for my boys' daycare.

The pizza and beer were very good.
We are getting the thunder and lightening now. I think we are having every from of precipitation fall at once.

If this is "near blizzard" I don't want to see blizzard. we've got a good start on our 16" and the winds are 15mph suppose to pick up to 25. My freaking dog is still whining for his walk.
DH is between milw and chicago right now. He was suppose to fly out of Green Bay but decided that maybe he should drive to O'Hare and get a flight before the cancellations begin. The boys are driving me nuts!!!!!!
