5 mile race in 52:31. Nothing to write home about. Pretty hilly race and I just jogged my way through it. Cold, about 35, and sunny. We had 6000 people run this race today. A spectator tried to cross the road about 100 yards from the finish and I just about knocked him down. I was able to move to the right and catch him by his shoulders after he ran into me and kept him from hitting the pavement.

Good job, Alan! fubby

That's a pretty good sized race! Nothing like trying to break loose from a pack of 6000, huh? Wink

Everything is bigger in Tejas! 6,000 for a 5-miler?! Wow. Nice way to get back into racin' post-marathon.

Great job, Alan! Maybe you should start adding 'elbow throwing' to your workout routines Wink

Nice comeback, Alan! You should drop in on one of Bob's karate classes, learn a few drop kicks you can apply on the run! Wink
