I believe he finalized the Democractic bid yesterday with his big wins in Tennessee and Virginia. Dean & Clark are living a pipe dream if they think they can recover. Edwards may be holding out for the V-P slot. For those of you on that favor that side of the aisle, do you honestly think Kerry can beat Bush in November?

It seems to me that he has based his entire campaign on the premise that "I was in Vietnam and you were not." All the folks praising him for "winning in the South" are laughable. (Memo: He is facing other democrats. No republicans ran against in yesterday's races.)

Furthermore, some of the skeltons are starting to come out of Kerry's closet. There is a photo of him at a Jane Fonda Anti-Vietnam war rally. Plus many stories are coming out about the large amounts of money he received from campaign contributions over the years from oil/tobacco/other special interests. Yet, he is trying to present himself as the candidate to end special interests in Washington. He also has a "no comment" on the Bush/National Guard issue now only a few days after attacking Bush for not reporting to Alabama for his NG duty.

As a Southerner, I don't want to unnecessarily draw lines between the North & the South or make sweeping assumptions. But if Kerry is going to win in Nov., he has to carry some of the states in the South. (Al Gore proved this and he couldn't care his own state or home county in TN.) I frankly don't see Kerry winning any of the states in the South. He is going to be branded as a normal "Ted Kennedy Liberal" from the Northeast and very few folks outside of the Northeast or California will vote for him en mass.

For the record, I ain't going to vote for Kerry or Bush. But, I just don't see him getting elected unless an obliging intern shows up at the White House. Your thoughts?

He is getting a lot of free publicity now. It is typical that he is soaring in the rating right now. It will swing back down.

he is also stating he wants to roll back the tax cut. That is a nice way to say he is going to raise taxes

It will be a tight race. He has a lot of money as does Bush. It will be very expensive.

Another in a line of Massachusetts liberal Democrats. They bottled the lightning with John F. Kennedy (who was not exactly a liberal). Since then, the Democrats seem to think they can get it again. They can't get past their own nominating process (Ted Kennedy), or get their lunch handed to them if they do (Sargent Shriver, Michael Dukakis). They never learn that Massachusetts is not the barometer for America, politically.

I am not a fan of Kerry. I think he is a real tool. Here is a telling article that I read about him. Ed I Koch, the old NYC mayor is supporting Bush, even though he is a Democrat. His reason is that the Dem's do not have the stomach to do what has to be done regarding the War on Terror.

Disclaimer: I am a very conservative Republican, and although I do have problems with some of GWB's spending policies, I shudder to think of the alternative.

Do you know who I am? - John Kerry

Botox and big hair gives me the impression of being vain.

I really don't think this country will vote in a truly liberal Democrat. If they would've nominated Joe Lieberman I'd actually take a closer look at the November ballot. I'm like Monk in the respect I don't necessarily agree with all of GWB's policies and habits but overall I think he's doing a good job.

I do. I'm not positive it is going to happen, and I know it will be a tough fight, but I do think it is possible. Far more possible than most Repubs like to think.

If it was truly random, we'd have ended up invading Latvia or some other little nation. You know dang good and well we invaded Iraq because of our dependence on cheap foreign sand.
