I still look forward to more interesting finds while I'm out running/riding. I just hope that a burning corpse is never one of the things I find.

found while running: 1 floating corpse (spotted while on a trail that loops around a lake) So far no burning corpse...at least not yet.

How long can a corpse burn anyway? That just sounds gruesome....

Seriously...
I think I told this story before...
It was during the winter a few years ago on a Saturday morning run with my running group at North Park and we noticed something floating in the lake, we flagged down a car to call the police--we were hoping it was a prank but then they pulled the body out. Apparently an old man depressed about the death of his wife commited suicide by walking into the icy waters of North Park lake. Very sad...

That's freaky! Hope I'll never find something like that while running...

I've never found anything. If the trade off for finding something cool is finding bodies, I'll just stick to finding nothing.

Hard to find stuff when you run on a treadmill.

Not necessarily true. A couple weeks ago I found a toothbrush in the mill. Other things that have flown out of it are candy wrappers, coins, and barbie clothes. The work of Jacob, probably.
Sometimes I think I need my own place!

You don't suppose someone's heart monitor shorted or something??
The part that got me was the part that said "We're investigating to determine whether a crime has been committed." Umm, I know it's Norway and all but I think you need a permit or something to conduct a Viking burial.
