such a sweet baby she is.

I love fall. Ditto what Mech said (OMG, I agree with Mech on something! Shocked )

Do you agree with this classic Mech?

I remember being nervous on the first day and not sleeping well the night before, ever. I remember being impatient for the weather to cool, and thinking how Back To School night came so quickly. Going over with MoGo about where the bus would drop me off and pick me up, since one time in first grade I got it wrong and the bus had to make an impromptu stop for me, which as it turns out doesn't sit well with bus drivers, bus companies, or school districts.

It's funny, I start school again (for the last time praise God) on Monday, and I know I won't sleep well tomorrow night. I like that there are some things I can still count on.

Good times. Neutral I hate fall.

I personally love fall, and love it more every year. It's the feel, the crispness of the air. Honestly, walking in the woods in Autumn with the leaves falling from the trees makes me feel like I've just fallen in love. It's that good of a feeling for me.

Sigh.

ME TOO!!!!! Fall is my absolute favorite time of year. Wish it would hurry up and get here already.

I miss:

--trick or treating with my best friend, dragging home pillowcases laden with goodies, then changing costumes and going back around the 'hood again to collect even more!

--the anticipation of being able to wear all those new school clothes

--brand new notebooks and freshly sharpened pencils (I still have a stationery supply addiction!)

--crunching through the leaves the years we had to walk to grade school and spending Saturdays raking for the neighbors (for a slight fee or at least a cup of hot chocolate afterwards!)

--high school football games. I still love the sound of the marching band playing, band geek that I was

--school dances

Sigh.....thanks for the memories RP. I'm glad you came over here today. Smile

Fall is the best time of year. Paws down.

Not only the technicolor of the leaves, but (where it's still allowed) the smell of them burning. Add the wood smoke from the fireplaces that are starting to get lit up.

School I could take or leave. I did like getting the new notebooks to break in. Also, when you got the textbooks for your classes, you always - ALWAYS went through them to see who had written in them, and what they wrote. Always good for plenty of laughs. OTOH, I hated getting new clothes - it seemed the time in the stores for that stuff would never end; it made sitting in the classroom a pleasure by comparison.

And while I agree with Genie on Halloween, you could not forget Thanksgiving. Not just for the meal, but because the next day started shopping for Christmas. And usually by then, all the leaves were on the ground.
