Depositing money via an ATM into your account on a friday night, saturday, or sunday, even if using cash, is the same as depositing the money to a teller monday morning.
Even if an overdraft charge is reversed, if you were overdraft a second time before the charge was reversed and are now a positive balance after the reversal, you may be subject to a second overdraft charge which cannot be reversed because you just recieved your courtesy reversal.
This will not be explained to you at the time of the first reversal.
When you call back the next morning after being shocked to see a new overdraft charge on your account, this will now be explained to you as well as having another conversation with another condescending customer service employee.
When you ask to speak with a supervisor they will not connect you, but rather pass on the nature of your issue (you think) to the supervisor who will then call you back sometime in 24 hours (you are told).
You realize why your grandparents buried their money in their yards because they don't trust banks.

General principle: Any institution handling money by the nature of its business - banks, insurance companies, etc. - will screw you every chance they get. Intentionally.

I've never, ever had a problem with my credit union in ~ 15 years of banking with them. Started online bill pay two years ago and it has worked like a champ.

Just keep calling. If you complain enough to the right people, you'll get that reversed. Ask them to look at your account history. HAve you ever bounced a check before? How long have you been with them? Consider all of those facts, and mention them in your conversations.
