Yikes! It could still change course somewhat from what we're hearing down here. Everyone down here is freaking out and boarding up too. They're also going to close schools down here because of the winds on bridges.

Based upon the maps, we're not going to get a direct hit, but we'll get winds and rain. Hopefully we son't get a storm surge as we're only a few hundred yards from the water.

However, they're also still talking about boarding up the restaurant. In which case we'll leave.

I hope all is well down there. I know all to well how bad they can get at predicting these things.

Please be safe.

If you need a place to stay, my door is always open. Not that you would be much safer here.

Thank you very much. It's greatly appreciated.

Stay safe yourself, and the same applies. Not that it's any safer here.

I have a good friend in Melbourne that was just evacuated to Virginia. He's on the team that will be building up a backup of their network.

I wish I could be heading down there this weekend and stay for a week or two. With my truck and my hands, I'd help all I could.

Good luck to you. Stay safe.

Good Luck!
THey closed our school system for Friday. Mrs. Boiler and I are still deciding if we are evacuating early or not.

Hurricane Frances Intermediate Advisory Number 34a

Statement as of 8:00 am AST on September 02, 2004

...Dangerous category four Frances pounding the southeast
Bahamas...heading toward the central Bahamas...

a Hurricane Warning remains in effect for all of the Bahamas and
for the Turks and Caicos Islands. A Hurricane Warning means that
hurricane conditions are expected within the warning area within
the next 24 hours. Preparations to protect life and property
should be rushed to completion.

A Hurricane Watch is in effect for the Florida East Coast from Craig
Key northward to Flagler Beach...including Lake Okeechobee. A
Hurricane Watch means that hurricane conditions are possible within
the watch area...generally within 36 hours. Hurricane warnings
will likely be issued for portions of the watch area later this
morning.

That was the latest update. Craig Key is about 15 miles south of us.

We may go to Key West. That is looking like the safest option for us.

I am 30 miles south of where they predict the eye to hit.

I cannot believe I am still at work and not preparing for this damn thing.

All I know is that if one more stoner employee keeps trying to get their checks early by going through me instead of the owner I am going to scream. Stupid people. I write the checks, I don't sign them!

Sheldon, be safe. They started evacuating parts of West Palm last night, didn't they? At least that's what I saw on the news.
