I'm a little late posting this but the Channel swimming team (5 men 1 woman) have completed their double channel crossing England-France-England in the time of 24 hours 45 minutes. They landed at Shakespear Beach, south east of Dover.
Don't think I mentioned that they were all 'coppers'; still we won't hold that against them.
The first ever Police team to swim the English Channel and the first ever Police team to swim a double crossing

That's quite an accomplishment! I'm always amazed at swimmers. I guess that is because I can barely swim one lap in a pool.

well last night i crossed the channel(s) several times.
there was NOTHING on TV and it was raining so no skating 
Kudos to those guys and gal. that is a feat and then some.

That's amazing.
I thought I froze my chanel off in Lake Michigan today and only did 1600m. I cannot imagine how frickin' cold they were!
