Actually, I'm closer to this until summer time (A/C is a year round thing here) I just hate the feeling of A/C on me. In the car, at home, etc. I don't like it to be humid, but once thats out of the air the A/C is low enough.
Of course, I sleep with a down comforter year round. I'm sure if i took that off my bed I could keep it at 78 at night too but I love it

My house is currently a muggy 84 because it doesn't have AC.
The other day it was 88 or 89 inside. I think that night it got down to about 80.

Um, what thermostat?
The temp on the AC units is high cool, medium cool, and low cool, with 8 settings. I have them on medium cool and 3 when I go to bed, and invariably I wake up and Larry the Polar Bear has turned them up to high and I am freezing!
I liked the spring/winter months when we could sleep with all the windows open and no AC. Can't do that now.

We have one window AC in the main bedroom. 90% of the summer time we use the whole house fan. It exchanges all the air in the house in about 5 minutes. When set on high speed we have to shut it to slow speede by 0400 since it makes the house too cool.

Thermostat setting? Off.
In the winter we use the heater. We don't use the AC except for maybe two weeks out of the year, and then we set it at 78.

Usually I keep it pretty warm during the day... around 80 or so. At night I'll drop it as low as 70, but usually around 75. Now when it's not my electric bill... like at work... 65

Right around 70 in the winter.

In the winter it's set at around 75 (usually is about 70). We have slide in the window air conditioners so it's either hot or cold - no inbetween.
