in this house.
I never buy any in advance because it will be gone in 2 days (if it lasts that long).
So I'm not buying any until Friday. May not buy any at all if we end up going to a friends house for the evening to trick or treat and hang out.
That stuff is just too dangerous, and we (my hubby is worse than I am) cannot be trusted. But dangit I sure do want one of those itty bitty Twix bars.......

Good policy. I don't want to talk about the 4 bags of candy I bought and have nothing to show for now....I, uh, don't know where they are...

Halloween is the beginning of weight gaining season.....if you can make it through Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas without gaining more than 5 pounds, consider it a success!
ditto on the Twix, my current favorite!

My wife gets a boatload of candy for the festivities. Interesting, though:
1) Never any tangerine Life Savers or Bit-O-Honey.
2) We get maybe six legitimate trick-or treaters.
3) But all the candy's gone the next day.
I wonder...

I bought four bags two weeks ago. There's only three nights to go until trick or treat (on Thursday). I haven't checked them to see if anyone has snuck a snack.
Oh, and I only bought one bag of chocolates. The kids love the other stuff like skittles, bubble gum, nerds, and can't remember the other. I KNOW that my husband will go buy four more bags, all chocolate.

I bought 10 bags yesterday and hubby bought 8 last weekend. I've been warned that my neighborhood gets alot of kids. I was discussing this with an older gentleman at the grocery store that lives near me. "yeah, some years are pretty heavy, but last year we only got 75-100 kids"
only??---that's when I grabbed 5 more bags!

We had 5 groups, that was it. I made my wife take the candy to her work to get rid of. I did sneak a few Baby Ruth's for myself however.

I almost bought some today while I was out, but I refrained. I knew I'd just come home and eat it.
Man, that would've been good.

I'm still saddened by this little insight into Gret's life:
