Maybe it is because she doesn't want anyone to know about the new husband. Maybe they are getting married so he can get his green card. He might be from another planet. Or an ex-convict.
Or maybe she doesn't want everyone to put a damper on it by reminding her how well her last marriage went.

Wimmins can also be very catty and if there are a lot of them where you work that could be why. Or maybe she just met the guy like 3 weeks ago and they are already getting married? Or...she's 40, maybe he's 22?
You gotta investigate now, this is too juicy to let go by.....
