I repeat that you had enough water stops. Personally, I never stop at them for a measley 5k. The mile marking I could understand, though, because I'm a little anal about noting my time at 2 miles. Great job! I would love to organize a local race but have not a CLUE where to begin. And good luck next year. Wink

Echo, Echo, Echo. Enough water stops for sure. Congrats sounds like you did well. the mile markers yup was a goof up but you can't be expected to know everything the first time. sometimes the most obvious thing is the overlooked one when you focus on every little detail.

Even though a 5k is 3.1 miles, I still love it when races put up the 3 mile sign. It helps time my finishing kick and it also gives me even mile splits to review after the race. Most races usually will only have a marker for miles 1 and 2.
