Giant OCR 3 cool but not as good components as the Specialized (not sure of the model).
Giant has the cool handlebars that pivot, but not the composite stem that specialized has.
Giant... I take a mens size large.
Specialized I take a 58 inch.
I still have to try the Trek 1000

I'm just under 5 ft 10 inches
But I was closer to 6 ft before I had JR and lost some height in my spine, but my legs are still the same. So, I have to go by leg length. LONG LONG LEGS, girl.

Personally, I'd go for the Specialized. From what you said, it's beating the Giant. Try the Trek, but I think you'll be partial to the Specialized.

The one thing I really like about the Giant is the tilting handlebars..... not as much leaning over all the time and the extra brake levers.... although they are sora compared to tiagra (I cannot spell these things)

You may find it better to raise the stem, rather than rotate the bars up.
As for the leaning over, it does take some getting used to at first (you'll find new muscles you didn't know you had). But after a couple of rides, you're good to go. And it really, REALLY helps on a windy day to be down.

Bontrager makes bike parts not related to drivetrain and brakes -- seat posts, stems, wheelsets, stuff like that. I've got Bontrager stem, seatpost and wheelsets on my bike - happy with them, but I've only got a cheap-a$$ bike to compare against.

I can't find the OCR that I looked at at the price I saw. The OCR 3 online is $599, but the one in the store was $629.... maybe it was the OCR 2.... on sale.... I'm confused again!

Both are 24 speed -- seems like an awful lot. I think you'd be better suited to an 18 speed (2 chainrings, and a 9 cog cassette). I find that you just don't use 24 gear ratios...ever. And if you have cheap components, you can't even get them all without rubbing the chain on the guides.
I know people that own Allez's, and they're very happy with them.
Comparing the specs, they're almost the same. It's just going to come to price and feel, I think.
If possible, consider up-ing the Sora components to Tiagra.
