I guess I do, in some ways, need my DH. Because right now the house and bed is very lonely without him. But it's not a question of needing just anybody there. It's that one particular person.
That's my useless contribution.

Your contribution was considerably more useful than mine.

It's not necessary to live, but to lead a completely fulfilling life, I am convinced a woman is needed. As much as I hate it, people are social creatures and solitude just isn't sufficient.

I am very independent and don't feel I need anyone.
But, that being said, my life is far more complete having my husband specifically around. He is one of the most amazing people I've ever met.
I like men. I like the different perspective and their contributions to my life. Men are fun peeps to be around.
But then again, were my husband to pass on, in a completely non-sexual way, I could probably have a wonderfully deep friendship with a female.
I think it has a lot to do with a meeting of minds, hearts, spirits, and soul. It's nice to have someone on your side.

I think you will all grow old and lonely and will live in the spooky house on the street that all the neighborhood kids throw rocks at to prove their bravery. And many of you have cats in your future. Lots and lots of cats. If you have kids, they will never call or visit and they will rob you of your money.

I already have lots and lots of cats. AND I live in an old house. I'm doomed!

Kewl! I always wanted to live in a haunted house. Can I have dogs instead though? I really don't like cats. They make me sneeze.

The dogs will break your hip. Shut up and eat your soup.

Don't look now, but the kids are riding their bikes across your lawn. Better get your nitro tablets ready.
