A good man in my life at some point would be fabulous.

Oh, sister. We must talk.

Strong though I may be, I think it'd still be hard to maneuver!
Might need to think about something a tad bit more wieldy.

I'd find and post something, but I'm sure the innuendo alarm would sound.

Yes, the comfort of having two incomes and someone to share my life with is wonderful and I would never do anything to make that change, but were I to find myself without a partner tomorrow I think I would be just fine. I have a strong independent streak, and my hubby knows that. If he goes away for more than a few days he gets under me feet once he's home. I adjust very quickly to being a one person household.

Shanny, this is pretty much what my struggle is right now. I was always in the "I adjust very quickly to being a one person household" camp, in fact, when Frank and I met I honestly was NOT looking for anything. I was still licking some old wounds and honestly getting used to life on my own since my roomie had moved out in November. And LIKING it immensely, I might add. Someone Else had other ideas, apparently, and brought us into each other's lives for some reason or other and here we are. For the most part, it is wonderful and I often catch myself thinking about how different my life would feel if he were suddenly not in it for whatever reason. BUT......there are also equal amount of times where the readjusting to having someone else play a major role in your daily interactions gets to me and I just get all about it. Part pof it, I think, is not wanting to go back to the person I was when I was in my early 20's and somewhat insecure, worrying about everything all the time and nonsense like that, you know? I've had so few truly "healthy" relationships with men that I don't want to repeat old patterns and what not. Does that make any sense?
Cold feet, because we're about 99% sure this is "it" or something else, do you think?

Have you ever noticed that women tend to over analyze things?

There's a reason "anal" is part of the word analyze.... women take analyzation to lofty new heights.
