As many of you know I am quite proud of the squad I work on at work. We have 9 men and 1 woman and are a very tight knit group, all get along well, know each others spouses, kids and lives fairly well. We have been working together for over two years and have a great working relationship.
Yesterday I was told that we are all being split up and move around the other three squads of the department.
What gets me is that promotional exams are ongoing and people would be moved around anyway by the first of the year.
This was to be the first Christmas in 15 years that I had be CE and C off. Now I am working both shifts.
It also changes my whole teaching schedule, which changes the teaching schedules of like 4 other teachers at school, since the year was set up around my work schedule.
It also affects a great deal of Abby's doctors appointments. Since I make them on my days off, I am now working on those. It is a lot of hassle changing all of them.
I will address these issues when I get back. It wont change anything, but they will realize how upset it makes me.
34/38 people were moved and it screwed a lot of people up.
Morale in the department is like crap.
Oh well, the bosses showed us.

that and they do not like the fact that our squad actually gets along, likes our Sgt, wants to go get together away from the place (birthday parties for kids, Christmas parties, etc). We were a tight unit. Unit coehesion I guess is not part of the plan.
