I thought about some sort of microphone or something too until I saw him with it on in the pickup. Is there any record of a history of even questionable heart problems? Seriously, election year or not, war or not, the presidency has to be extremely stressful, but I imagine it's worse now with everything combined. I wonder if they aren't just monitoring him? Even BP can't always be totally controlled by exercising and keeping your weight down, plus didn't he just say recently that he hasn't been running as much as he was? Something about a knee injury?

I have not heard of him having heart problems, though I heard something about him not taking an official physical with results released to the public this year. His last physical was in 8/03.

My roomie still insists it is a special type of bulletproof vest different from what the police, et al wear. We are trying to find proof of that now.....

I have no idea what they are but they probably are not:
A bullet proof best would ride up higher (toward the shoulders) and would be the width of the back
A portable defibrillator would not be small enough. The one I have is implanted in the front near my left collarbone, while it does protude out of the skin, it can't be seen through my clothes.
A holter monitor is worn on one's belt. 
My guess is that it is probably a two way radio of some sort

A wearable defibrillator is something different. Here is a picture. It is a pretty good match in size and shape.

Well that's interesting.
If he is being treated for a heart condition, what is his responsible to inform the American people. I know he releases information on his physical each year (though he hasn't yet this year), but does he have to? Does anyone know?

Apparently he is putting off his annual physical until after the election
They are usually conducted in August.
I am not sure about (read unable to find) the obligation to report his health to the American people.
