Next up is PDR, the 26th annual Philadelphia Distance Run. It has long been hailed as a premier event at the half mary distance, with 55 open and age group records having been set over the years. The players and their stats:

rtpd113. This stylin' po-po breaks out the yellow highlighter shorts and flies down the streets of Philly. Current PR is 1:47 (don't know when or where that was set), course PR unknown. He's been training consistently, and at a pretty fast pace, but he races much faster than he trains. Look for a big surprise here.

elkid. Current PR (Queens, May '03) is 2:18, course "PR" 2:58 (Sept '02). Looking to redeem last year's poor showing caused by serious lack of preparedness and by falling in a pothole at mile 3 . Also looking to redeem a lackluster summer racing season to strengthen her mental game for the fall racing season. She's been training consistently, though often races slower than her training runs. Projected time based on recent long runs is 2:25.

The Window is now open, fellow RRers. By how much will rtpd113 smash his PR? Will elkid trust her training and pull out another Philly miracle race? Will both be spurred along by the new musician/band/choir contest (prize money to the best act)? Ladies and gentlemen, what will be the times for our players?

Hey! I've been watching your training runs for a long time. You usually kick my butt at most distances. If I can run 1:39, you can run 1:40.

to you!

Done. RLAG will be toting KidCam and taking finish line photos. Though I wonder what color crap + highlighter yellow make? Some bright green color?

Bonus points to gretriever for timing precision. I put po-po down for 1:46.
