Not too surprising.
I knew that Sandra was going to beat Lil.
Johnny Fairplay is just a plain old wimp to let that lady beat him in the final challenge. He would have lost against either of the women though.
A very good season overall. I loved the reunion show, although I was surprised at how much hate there was for Johnny. Puh leaze people...it's a game, and he played it great. Is he a nice guy? no. But he played as well as anyone.
Oh, and Savage, Ryan O, and Shawn...get a grip will you guys? You were outplayed...and are still upset about it. Sour Grapes. What a group of babies...I'm glad none of them won.
As always, the most deserving person didn't win. But that's what makes the game fun. You never know what's gonna happen. Maybe 2 times out of the 7 survivors has the deserving person won.
It's not about the winner, it's about the game, the changes, the swings, I loved every minute of this one. Let's hope the all star version will be as good.

I was SO glad Sandra won! I think she actually deserves it. Not a vote the entire time until they voted for her to get the million? Lill was starting to lose her mind in those last few days too....
I think some of the Johnny Fairplay reunion stuff was staged....that was just dumb. He played well, but if he was the best survivor I think he would have won it all, ala Richard Hatch.
Great season. I think the best one since the first, I'm glad I watched.

Did anyone else suspect that Lill was totally playing the idiot the entire time? During the final Q&A she was vitriolic and focused, plus she actually swore! For the first time ever she sounded intelligent. But then she pulled a Colby and picked Sandra to go up against her so I guess she's not too smart after all.
I thought the reunion show was a let down, though. Very staged. Plus Probst's shirt was making me dizzy. Can't wait for 2/1 with the start of All-Stars!

I too think Sandra was more than deserving. Without her at the beginning, they woulda been sunk trying to bargain for the gear they needed. And as has been said, she nevah got a single vote. A definite strategy in itself that worked.
Lill did say in the reunion show she knew she wouldn't win, so she had to choose who deserved it more. Being an outcast she knew she'd not swing the jury. And like she also said, Jon always found a way to come out on top and he'd have done it too if he'd been in the final.
Here's the rumors so far... wow is there gonna be fur flying!!

It crossed my mind. Funny how in the end she was totally different.

Do you think she regretted wearing the Boy Scout uniform???? I actually thought last night's episode was pretty boring.

I think she regretted that it didn't have the effect she desired, that people would hold her in higher esteem and give her more respect, and that people called her onto the mat for disgracing the uniform. What Savage said about her lying being worse than Shawn's, while not fair, was a pretty accurate description of how I believe most people would think. I'm surprised no one mentioned, however, how creepy it was that she chose THAT as her outfit to wear for the meet-and-greet (the ruse under which they first met on the ship before they were tossed into the sea). Very Jacko-like.

Is Johnny Fairplay someone's real name or is that a euphemism for something else?

It made the game for me when Lil beat Johnny, especially as he was begging her to deal with him. That was great. At that point I thought Lil had it in the bag. Then with the questions from the jury, she lost it. I could tell that Sandra definitely had the win and thought it would be 7-0. It's funny how everyone always said they didn't want to go up against Lil because she'd win, and it was just the opposite. Good for Sandra though, she played well.

I thought that was funny when they were talking about that, that no one would win against Lill because I didn't think it was true. Besides Johnny, I thought either Darrah or Sandra had a good chance against her since Lill had stepped on some toes. I really didn't expect it to be 6-1 though! Good for Sandra!

Johnny Fairplay is his nickname, created by himself.
