This is a backend system which should help us to avoid duplicate content. You are not able to add the same topic title & content 2 times!

I was trying to edit, not duplicate post. If the system is set up for the reasons you give, which is understandable, then why have an edit button? Or am I missing something thouroughly?

Another issue: I keep having to supply user name and password almost every time I return to the site, despite checking the box to remember me.

that's the only problem i have... logging in I have to use my name/password all the time.

Sometimes if you delete your current cookie , then log back in, the problem is rectified.

Personally, I cannot repeat that issue this way, but we'll inspect that code once again.
