This may be a little tongue in cheek, however I do believe it has great health benefits.

Turn off the TV and radio, cancel or give away your newspaper. Avoid them at all costs. Stay off line too. Don't read anything topical.

I end up so full of news through my work that when I take a break Mrs. P enforces a strict Media Diet.
It is so restful. A great way to slow down and get in touch with what really matters.

Silence for one thing

You find yourself more peaceful, that's for sure. Too much noise vying for our attention.

While watching the news last night, I actually got restless. I agree it's bad for your health.

When our television was out for 6 weeks, it was amazing the extra time we had and how much simpler our home life seemed. I had time to clean the house. The girlie and I did more things together. It's a good thing.
