so, i now know i can run again, knee pain free. This gives me hope. So i decided to try a half-Mary now. Now i can't have it interfere with my skating so i decided that the Thanksgiving Atlanta will be perfect. it's a month after the skating ultra-marathon. so i'll still have a lot of cardio from all that training. gives me time to recover and train run specific.

my planned weekly training schedule so far for the skate ultra
was to:

Saturday, LSD 36-50 miles
Sunday, Tempo skate 15 miles ( would switch to run 5 miles)
slow social skate, 10-14 miles
Monday- 6 miles bike 50%HRM
approx 22 miles skate dived into 3 sections
a. ) 3.65 miles at 75%
b. ) 18 miles, 60%
c.) 3.65 miles at 75%
Tuesday 6 miles bike 50%HRM
light weight training or dryland drills
6 mile, run, 60 %
Wednesday 3.5 mile am skate 55%
3.5 mile PM skate 55%
4 mile run 75%
15 mile skate 75%
3.65 mile skate MAX
Thursday6 miles bike 50%HRM
heavy weights
friday6 miles bike 50%HRM

does that seem reasonable to be able to run a half-Mary with that kind of schedule?

With that as your summer training, I think you'd have no probs with cranking up the running schedule during the month between the ultra and the halfM.
