On the plus side, Disney isn't charging extra for doubling up. The full is $95 and the half, remarkably (and this is the highway robbery) is $85.

$85! For a half!

Yep. Seems a little steep, don't you think?

The SO and I are thinking about doing the WDW Half anyway. Seems a good excuse as any to get some warmer Weather in mid-January.

I think I just got effed! I tried to go sign up since it looks like we can swing it if I cut back on some other races this fall and now I can't find an entry form for the double. The half is closed and only the full is open but I don't see any kind of form about doing the double.

The Walt Disney World Half Marathon and Goofy's Race and a Half Challenge are closed. The only entries that may still be available for both races are through charitable organizations or tour/travel groups. If you want to sign up on your own for the marathon and then sign up for the half marathon through a charity group, then you would be eligible for the Goofy Challenge. These groups are listed at the following site under Groups/Charities:

Sorry you got the registration shaft.

But, hey, I think the Tampa/Clearwater/St. Pete part of Florida is nicer than Orlando anyday, IMHO.

Onward to the Triple!!!

I will be running both but not at full speed. Disney's marathon is the first of 52 I am running next year for charity.

I found a really inexpensive place to tay not too far from Disney. If anyone needs a place I can tell you where it is.
