I'm going with the Rev. RTPD on this one. Good thing he's not Catholic PH, or you'd be doing some hail mary's.

So, chicken. |
so your telling me that only a chicken can sit on a chicken egg? the egg will die if say a duck or a goose sits on it?
then expalin the Cuckoo bird survival.
| Quote: | | The cuckoo’s breeding season is from May through July. The cuckoo is known for laying its eggs in the nests of other bird species including pipits, warblers, and robins. Once a suitable nest is found, the laying female sits down on the nest and lays the egg. If the nest is situated such that this is not possible, see will lay the egg nearby on the ground, place the egg in her bill, and carry the egg to the nest. The eggs of the cuckoo are extraordinarily small. The color resembles that of the birds into which nest the eggs will be placed. Each female puts only one egg into the nest, usually only if the nesting bird already has her own eggs in place. Each cuckoo may lay up to 25 eggs, 1 per nest. |

So, if the egg came first, and a warbler sat on it....did the warbler come first, or the egg?

Just to play devil's advocate, because that's what kind of mood I'm in today...no where does the Bible say they AREN'T the same either.
Of course, I don't think some big huge Tyranosaurus was sitting on the chicken egg, but I've been wrong before.

Now it humorous (not to sound smug like i know it does) is the fact that birds are expected to be a decsendant of the dinosour. SOOO your T rex anaolgy is not too far off. ( ok, it is more the Raptors that are suspected of giving the birds the start but T rex is much more fascinating.)
