Posted: 01/12/05 - 09:07 Post subject: The Amazing Race 6-8 the Grapes of Wrath.
When you get back to back shows with the Fast Forward... you know tonights episode going to be a Non Elim leg (the second of three).
So here's the results.
1. Adam & Rebecca Via the Fast Forward.
I see a trend here, with these two, she's the bossy mother type and he's the whinny spoiled type, who needs to be encourage, and Bit**slaped from time to time.
2. Freddy & Kendra
Learning to play smart, but need to make a decision to drop the model pledge or it will cost them. Kendra is still in her Europe is great the other countries (that are poor) suck.
Looks like next week the poop will hit the fan.
3. Lori & Bolo
Still my favorite team and you have to give Bolo props for being honest about the rock climbing challenge saying how he had no arm strenght while the ladies just waltz on past him. In the making grapes challenge those grapes never had a chance.
4. Kris & Jon
My second favorite team and I like to call team go with the flow.
With the problems they had at the airport still manage to keep a positive attitude and over the last two legs are showing minor signs of slipping.
5. Jonathan and Victoria
We saw a role reversal of sorts. In the first half we saw Jonathan blaming everything on Victoria (as usual) yet at the beginning you knew this was going to happen when Victoria said we fight then we make up and go on (lady you need some serious help).
Yet at the making wine out of grapes challenge notice how Jonathan was trying to be too qute and messed up and Vic called him on the carpet cause he caused the other teams to catch & pass them.
I really wanted to hug the editors for including a shot of the cute puppy jumping away and whining because of Jonathan's screeching. Even sweet puppydogs have problems with that @sshole. Poor traumatized puppydog.
6. Don't call me a Bit*h Hayden (Ritalin) and Aaron
Came in last but saved cause this was a NEL.
you knew something was up when............................
At the beginning of the show where Hayden wouldn't kiss Aaron after he told her he loved her? I wonder if she suffers from Yerkes-Dodson?
Toward the end, I was almost getting the feeling that Aaron was deliberately taking his time, just so they would be eliminated and he wouldn't have to put up with Hayden's constant, shrill complaining any more.
Hayden appears to be a person who demands that you react to stress the same way she does, by freakin' the hell out. The fact that some people can keep mellow during chaos seems to infuriate her, as if they're not taking some perceived jeopardy seriously. So unless you're squawking and screeching about the horrible danger like she is, then she suspects you're just sandbagging.
She is utterly useless in the car- she's "retarded" with directions and she can't drive. I bet they wouldn't have lost if they hadn't kept stopping to switch drivers.
So there we have it.
Next week two teams suffer an injury and one team will make a decision to weather to continue the race ..................................alone.
From AOL:
One Racer is injured during a Detour, and the teammate shows no concern, which shocks the other Teams.
A mistake reading a clue affects one Team's ability to complete a task. Will this jeopardize their position in the Race?
An encounter with some local children brings one Racer to tears.
One Racer is frustrated that his Teammate helped another Team, which leads to a much deeper discussion about the future of their relationship.
This
Looks like we're going to Africa again.

Interesting stuff last night. Rebecca and Victoria "emerged" from the shadows to show more of their character.
I can't see Adam and Rebecca's team last too much longer. They are lucky they got the Fast Forward.
Bu-bye to Hayden and Aaron. C ya later!

I thought I was going to appreciate Victoria starting to stand up and yell back at Jonathan, but then she turned into a whiny, spoiled child, and I just wanted them both off my television.
Scorch, I agree: Poor, sweet puppy.
I'd rather climb, as sucky as it would be, than go down in that ancient diving suit. *shudders*

I'm to the point where I can't even stand any of the teams except Lori and Bolo and Kris and Jon.
That diving suit was hella scary. I think hell-boy is a big cry baby but I don't think I could have done it.
I think Hayden and Jonathon were meant for eachother, no?
I like in the previews for next week when Victoria has hurt herself and is crying, when Kendra screams "JONATHON!! GO. HELP. HER." The man is oblivious.

Now I'm just wondering: did she step on a nail, get bit by a spider, or what exactly happened there?

It looked like her hand(s) to me....a burn maybe? I have no clue but there was a group of guys who rushed to help her with what looked to be a pot of water...all while you can hear Jonathong bitching about Victoria sabotaging their chances.

They have focused so much on how much of an a-hole he is, but I'm starting to wonder if she's not just as bad.

I think she is just as bad in other areas, she's always been obnoxiously whiney/crybaby and extremely naggy...maybe they are made for eachother...

I don't have the link here at work, but I went to Jonathan and Victoria's web site. Do you know that she is a former Playboy model?

All of us have our faults. Unfortunately for me millions of viewers are getting to see mine each week. I do not abuse Victoria,
what you see is a heightened version of stress and obsession mixed with medication for a sickness called Sarcoidosis. What was started as a Publicity Stunt turned in to an obsession to race and be first at any cost. This is a GAME and I set out to be the Villain to others, not to Victoria. Victoria and I are working on our relationship to better our selves and learn from our mistakes. I am taking full responsibly for my actions on screen. Please allow me to make the effort.
I am deeply saddened by the storyline that CBS went with, they had so much other footage they could use. I am sorry for my actions, I am sorry to Victoria. Most all I am sorry to the Fans of the Amazing Race.
