My turkey was not my usual perfect turkey. My meat thermometer died and he refused to cook completely until I BLASTED IT.
I ate cherry pie for breakfast.
I did work out or run whatsoevah unless you count hoofing it around Wal-mart one day and around the Franklin Institute the next.
I ate more than my share of Birthday Do-over cake.
I ate horribly on the drive home.
Now. You.

I ate whatever I wanted to and don't feel guilty at all. That's why I work out - so I can eat as I wish. I didn't cook anything (just opened cans, dumped 'em in a casserole with milk and pepper, threw it in the oven and VOILA! green bean casserole) but did help clean up.
I made my 4YO nephew cry because he actually believed me when I said I'd eat all the stuffing which was impossible to do because other people were there, though I did come mighty close. I then got yelled at by my bro when I called the whiny crybaby a wuss. I did however manage not to stab any of my brothers with a fork, so I win points for that.
I did not assist with the setup for Thanksgiving Day 2 (the next day at The Paramedic's grandmother's house) because I was watching football with da boyz. I didn't care because 1) my supah annoying SIL was in the kitchen and I avoid her like the plague and 2) I had worked my tail off at my mother's the day before.
Though I did want cake, I didn't eat any. Stupid contest for which I gave it up.

After our morning gobble, gobble, gobble I drank beers until I was tipsy and had to take a nap when we got home at noon!
I over cooked the sweet potatoes because of the nap but they were still tasty once I added the butter and brown sugar and baked them in the oven. mmmmm
I ate like a pig and could have gone for 2nds but didn't. Then allowed myself 2 pieces of pie.
Hubby did most of the clean up. I was hanging out with the nieces and nephews and by the time I made it into the kitchen he was almost all done.
Kids were great but I was glad when they went home because the quiet was nice.
Friday morning I slept in but should have run off the 2 pieces of pie.

I ate all the remains of the chocolate cheesecake we had for dessert here at the house with friends. I'm the only cheesecake fan here and there's no one else to blame but me.

The 22 lb frozen bird we got, compliments of the grocery store we spend a zillion dollars at to feed our army, couldn't have thawed in time unless I controlled time and space or was able to hire superman to take a spool of copper wire and wrap the earth so that the magnetic forces would turn the earth backward.....anyway we called a local turkey farm and got a fresh 18 lb. The only thing about fresh turkeys is that they have no pop up thermometer, but as we have had them several times over the years, Pebbs is pretty good with timing them. The inside is always very moist and this one turned out great....

I bought a six-pack of Grolsch Amber Ale over the holiday weekend and drank the whole thing. My wife thinks I have a drinking problem now.

let's see, the meal i prepared was really yummy. seems it gets easier every year. not bragging, but it was great.
ok, so the premeal stuff wasn't so great. brother and father in a down and out brawl in the kitchen. i mean, it was straight out of Discovery Channel's American Chopper series. only worse.
great stuff.

I had my first bit of alcohol in almost a year both Thursday and Friday. That fine Wisconsin beverage, Miller Genuine Draft.
It was nice to have four days off, sans a hospital stay,
House is decorated
Shopping is started
MW's cherry pie is gone
Time with family...priceless

We had a fat fresh turkey with oyster/mushroom dressing, mashed potatoes, gravy, a cranberry/Grand Marnier glaze/sauce for turkey, fresh green beans and Key Lime pie for dessert.
Hope everyone had a great day!

Dinner wasn't bad at the in-laws. We left before my pregnant SIL could have a hormonal blowout.
My mom and dad didn't cook this year. Moms tired of doing it and I don't blame her. I told her I would take over Thanksgiving dinner but we're having beer and pizza.
Day after t-day was the best and laziest.
I've managed to run a few times, workout ZERO.
Yesterday I repainted the bathroom. It rocks! And it really needed it too.
Did I mention its Tuesday and I'm still on Thanksgiving weekend?
