have you ever stuffed them? I have a recipe for stuffed onions. It's a mediterranean dish. boil the onions whole, slice halfway through and peel each layer away. stuff with ground lamb, rice, tomatoes, brown in a skillet then cook in beef broth. mmmmm I gotta make this soon!

You know you're southern when you say it properly. I don't, but my friend who lived in Georgia and South Carolina most of her life makes the word have about 14 different vowel sounds... "vaheyedayalleeyah"

I can't eat a lot of onions. I carry the smell of them the way some people carry garlic; it seems to come out my pores. I once had to replace a shower curtain because it reeked of onions after I'd had a shower post-onionriffic dinner.
