He's in Ft. Carson, Colorado. His guard unit was activated.

He said they are loading their trucks (he's in transportation) onto the rail cars today. Then are gonna be ready to ship out to wherever they decide to send them.

He said they are probably gonna get this weekend off, and then next weekend may ship out to either Kuwait or Turkey.

I've felt OK about his being activated, it's part of the job you know. I was in the Guards too. But now that they are preparing to go overseas I am feeling a little anxiety. I just pray for his safe return.

Sorry Coach--

This is really tough. I can understand how you feel. A lot of uncertainty right now. My husband is a transporter, too. It's possible they'll run into each other!

Tell him how much we appreciate his service. I really admire that.

teehee...

Some transporters are notorious for their bad driving--my husband's last boss drove through a plate-glass window--completely sober--he was stopping to buy donuts. And another time he backed into the only light pole in the entire parking lot.

Hey Coach, I know how you feel too. My son is out on the USS Carl Vinson right now. Don't know where and don't know for how long.

Let's hope they all have a successful deployment and return home safely soon!!

He was probably just mad because the Po Po get them for free....Wink

Seriously, Coach....we'll keep your bro on the prayers list. My friend George's brother just got activated as well so our list is growing every day. Hopefully it'll be a quick ass-whoopin and they will all come home safe!
