Not very often do I get a big chunk of time, so I take quick fixes. Usually once a week, I'll take off work early or go in early just so I can hit the jacuzzi at the fitness center. A 10 minute soak does wonders.
Another quick fix for me is to drive the long way home. I jokingly call my pickup my "den". It's my room, of sorts. So with that thought, I sometimes will add an extra 10 minutes with an extra loop outta the way somewhere. I enjoy driving.
And with the recent opening of Home Depot nearby, I can now lose myself easily for waaay too much time wandering the aisles getting ideas on how to spend time and money I don't have .. it's a pick-me-up, really.

Call a friend on the phone or lock the bathroom door and take a bath (locking the door doesn't work too well. My daughter knocks on the door, asking: mommy, are you in there? can't open the door. daddy, open the bathroom door.....). So, I call a friend.
