Definite frumpage at Talbots. I can't stand that place. most of my cow-workers shop there though...
I do like Ann though...She outfits me for much of my corporate attire....

Talbot's SUCKS. There's one in Philly that I have gone to and one in Bucks County near where I used to live. Same lemon-sucking old prunes working there, and clothes to match. No thank you.

all the saleswomen wear bifocals with pickin' chains and make you feel as big as an ameoba when you enter. Plus, their clothes are old preppy. country club crap. plaid to the max. nothing worse than an aging Muffy. why do i go in that place????
i'm longing to puke in there just to see the looks on their faces. |
Hard to believe they have one of these in Sewickley--Western Pennsylvanians ?? |
I work in Sewickley... there is lots of old money to spend in this village. Never been in the Talbots (not my style). All the snobby people must be hangin at Talbots 'cause everywhere else people are just, well, people.

If there are any Talbots in St. Louis I'm not aware of them. I buy all my clothes from JC Penny or the Nike outlet mall.

Big Fat on the lemon sucking prunes. you know, some of the clothes are even just OK - if i needed a funeral dress or something conservative, i'd look there but it's the LEMON-SUCKING PRUNES that hate my guts when i go in there that make me sick. lemme stomp those bifocals for you LEMON SUCKER.
i'm thinkin' they like to hire those types cuz i've never seen anything else. kinda like Hooters in reverse....

I love Ann Taylor but they always ignore me when I go in there to shop. I love shopping in sweats! So I guess if I don't look like them I can't dress like them? |
yeah, Ann Taylor is another "may i help you--you piece of S"--- |
I don't mind that kind of attitude in a retail store so much......but it irks me at restaurants......if we sat down and ordered....we're buying and can afford it....if you treat me like crap.....you are going to fulfill your expectations. Poor service-low tip. We spent a weekend in Minneapolis a few months ago and the waiter was extremely rude....ignored us completely. I tried to convince my husband to NOT tip---it was THAT bad!!!!! | Well, if you'd stop insisting on wearing that cheesehead hat in the gopher state, service would improve substantially!

I've never been to Talbot's, but I just checked their website. Looks like pretty normal clothes to me and their prices reasonable. As for snooty, that's quite surprising. The people who work there are salespeople. Their job is to sell. What is the benefit of not selling to you?

I love Ann Taylor. I've never been treated badly in their stores.

Is that Talbot's or Ann Taylor? Looks pretty blah.
Edited to say this from a woman wearing a green mini dress with giant daisies on it, flip flops with plastic fruit on them and a sun hat made from recycled paper! (In honor of earth day, you know!)
