I am a freshamn in high school and am in xc for the first time. I ran track last year and was good at the 800 so I decided to join xc. Were around halfway into xc and i ahve no endurance past 2 miles. I've heard that swimming helps your endurance and running altogether. I was wondering if I should do swim team in the winter if that would help my running?

Any kind of cross training will help, but as they say, nothing helps running like running. If you want to build your running endurance, RUN!

Swimming definitely is an awesome workout. Each time I do it I love it and am reminded of all the muscles in the body that swimming works out. It's definitely an awesome work out and can certainly help with winter training. But of course keep up the running!
