Swimmer with sore hip

I enjoy swimming. My friends have to drag me out of the water each time. They keep joking that I must have been a shark in my previous life… Or a whale, for that matter. I had an accident a month ago and I injured my hip. I tried to swim but it was painful. What do you think about swimmer with sore hip?

I think that he is being foolish. Working out (or swimming) through pain is not a wise path. It has never been. You have to check out with your doctor and listen to what he says. You can’t expect the daylight before dawn. That goes for injuries too. Don’t push it. Wait until your hip is fully healed and then you can start swimming again. Otherwise you can only make things worse.
