I just got off the phone with the surgeon's office and I am set for February 17 at 1:00 PM (so you can start praying around noon that day....LOL). What a way to spend my President's day off from work 
I am scared crapless.....and surprisingly not ashamed to admit it, despite Sierra and my friend Mae's assurances that they came through with flying colors. I have never had any type of surgery other than wisdom teeth and a lump removal, which was local anesthesia and I know I'm not going to be sleeping real well from here til then (and probably not after for about a week from what I hear....good thing I don't sleep on my stomach now!  )
GULP.......been nice knowin' y'all....  but seriously, thank you for all your supportive posts, emails, PMs, and phone calls. All that positive energy made my decision a lot easier! But boy did my feet get cold all of a sudden!

Oh, most definitely!! I'll be able to run at least the 10K but am shooting for the half by then! I wouldn't miss Madison and you guys for anything!

Cutting your cancer risk to ensure that you'll have lots and lots of future President's Days? Sounds like a pretty good way to spend it to me.
