tell me what shoes you like best. It's almost time for me to get a new pair. I've been in Adidas Bostons and I like them fine but wondered what you thought.

New Balance 1023s - i've have 3 pairs of them. it is the best neutral shoe i have ever worn.
i can't speak to the Adidas shoe; i've never tried it but, as they say, if it's working for you, why change?

Just bought 2 new pairs of 1023 myself! Although I should have bought them at RoadRunner.......would have saved me 40 bucks!

I'm a supinator and I've worn NB 827....833 for years and years (the shoe is "supposedly" for neutral to mild overpronators). I stay away from an shoe that says "stability". I'm wearing Nike Pegasus right now and my strike has moved more to the neutral position. However, I plan on going back to the NB before racing season. I think they make me supinate more......but I'm "used to it". Eventhough the Pegasus probably have me strike in what is perceived as the "perfect zone", your entire body make adjustments also. So with my "new" and improved form, I know longer get "thigh" rash on those long runs on hot days........my last marathon, my knees rubbed
My advice for someone getting into the higher miles and more consistent running: start out with the most neutral, lightweight trainer you can tolerate and go from there. If you feel you need more support, move into the "cushioned" range. I would not move into "stability" or "motion control" unless you are talking an injury or your gait is "way off". That's my 2 cents.

My understanding is that one who underpronates needs more cushioning, not stability. For stability, I've got a brace on each ankle. I may not move to anything else, I just wanted to know what else people were using. I like my Adidas, but I'm not wed to them, by any means. Thanks.
