....letsee...Ranger left at about 9:30 this morning for his trip back south.
Ian and I went to get haircuts today and he decided he didn't want his tail anymore because his "uncle" Gary keeps tugging on it. This burns me as this man is over 45 years old and acts like 12 year old and my son should not have to alter his appearance to avoid harrassment by someone who should know better. But then, what else could we expect from a man who hides to snap his sister's bra strap?
I picked up some excellent music this weekend. Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Muddy Waters, and Kelly Joe Phelps, along with a 4 CD compilation set of about 70 blues songs.
It would also seem that my son is a walking Classic Rock jukebox. I have heard Neil Young, Crosby Stills and Nash, The Eagles, AC/DC, and Led Zeppelin today, just out of nowhere while he was fully engaged in some other activity. I must be raising him right. If I hear Britney Spears, I'm taking him in for therapy.
I told my landlord today that I am moving in early June. I feel like I have set the wheels in motion now. It's scary and exciting at the same time. The other big step to make is to give my notice, which won't be happening until mid-May as the firm as a reputation for letting you go the day you give notice.
Just in case I'm not doing it until the last payday.
Anyway, that was my Sunday...how was yours?

Kenny Wayne Shepherd, good stuff
Sunday/Weekend wasn't too bad. Jen and I went out on a date, went to dinner then saw The Passion of The Christ last night, great flick.
Today, went to church in the AM, watched some Arena football, and played hide and go peek with the kids.

bor-ring! not great, but not terrible either...
-woke up around 10ish, did laundry
-did some studying, and i think i got a little bit accomplished even though i sat in front of the tv most of the time...
-folded and put away the laundry
-watched the middle part of a show i tried twice to watch last weekend. it was very good. it was julia sweeny doing a one woman narration on the last few months she had with her brother who died of lymphoma, her parents moving in with her and her being diagnosed with cervical cancer...
now, im procrastinating from studying anymore and surfing here and coolrunning
ps: it was hard to stay out of the pinhead evolutionist thread over there...

It's been one of the better Sundays I've had lately.
Got up at 5:30 to do a trail run with a group from the local running store, managed to hang with a couple people in the back as we did 9+ miles around the lake. Tough, but fun.
Came back, got my gear cleaned up, had breakfast, then washed my car (finally). Did a little reading, took a nap, then went to visit a friend of mine. Still way warm for this time of year - close to 80 this afternoon.
Just had dinner, and I think I'll watch a little 24 or read before bed.

Friday night, the in-laws came into town for the week. So I had a few beers with my father in-law.
Saturday was yard work, clean the house and herd cats (aka Jason's soccer team through the team picture taking process) then coach said herd of cats.
Sunday: more final housework, set up a portable shade for Kaylee's party and then have a Kaylee's 2nd B-day party. After that party it was just a quiet afternoon. Went to bed by 9 and now it is the final countdown to my race!

Outstanding weekend. Finally bought some pine needles and got all but 2 trees done. Mulched around the swingset. 3 trips to Lowes and not a single citation. Couldn't get the lawnmower started though. I didn't empty out the old gas and I think that's the problem. It's all good though. I think we're going to get a weekly yard service, or at least bi-weekly. At the very least I need to get someone to get this yard done soon. It's probably too tall for our mower.
Good Sunday. Did some laundry, picked up Quizno's for lunch, got John a new GameCube game & some books, watched the kids & John play on the GC, started reading SK's Everything's Eventual again.
Good times this weekend.

Our son came home Saturday with one of his buddies - no (to those who know) he is no longer seeing the girl he brought home at Christmas, but has a new gf, Aspen (I'm serious - that's her name. How Coloradan).
Last night the four of us went to a classical music presentation in one of the 'burbs. 'Songs of love and war' by Monteverdi. The guys had to see it for a class they're taking.
Great weather Saturday (60s), suck-o weather on Sunday (30, with 15-20 mph winds, just delightful for my long run).

A lovely and VERY productive weekend! Got started on some home improving, picked out the colors for my bedroom, which I am going to start on as soon as this semester is over, got my entire home filing system, which was a total mess, reorganized, cleaned out, filed everything in sight, and did a little homework. Made chicken alfredo last night for dinner and cooked beef burgundy for tonight's dinner in advance. Watched "League of Extraordinary Gentlemen", realllllllly good movie! Made up menu for this weekend's birthday dinner on Saturday (my dad and I always celebrate together) and ordered more spring plants. Took some of my former fat clothes to a dropoff that collects for charity and bagged up more to bring in here for our Career Wardrobe collection. All in all, nothing exciting, but the house is clean and I am ready for Monday!

Saturday: Wound up doing things with the kids. Decided to pack a picnic lunch and go to the park. The picnic went great, but the kids wanted to leave early due to being too hot. It was warmer that day, but come on! I used to play at the park for hours. I think it's hard for them because the slides/equipment were hot when touching it and in direct sunlight.
Went to the gym, out for Slurpies and had the neighborhood kids over when we got home. I think I had 8 kids in here at one point building the largest fort out of blankets/chairs that you could imagine. I've decided this week that someone else can take in all of the kids for this last week of Spring Break.
Sunday: Went to the gym, grocery shopped, cleaned up around the house, did laundry, etc. Not very eventful.
I studied some for my AZ Teacher's Test that's next month. That went ok. I just have a lot to memorize with the history part of the test.

Friday night: Ate sushi and chocolate bars with handsome man
Saturday night: Mormon wedding. It was a lovely wedding, but even though I don't drink it seemed strange not to have the option to have a glass of wine with dinner. With dinner we had water and herbal tea afterwards. They seem like they're well suited to each other though and I think it will be a happy marriage with lots o' babies.
Sunday night: A few games of pool and bevvies, followed by mini golf and dinner at a pub with our favorite friends I have to learn how to make samosas!
Today: A bunch of nothin'. I have the day off!
