14 miles: 2:10.51
Trained outside today. It was 56 degrees and absolutely beautiful. I used my new Garmin Forerunner 201. If you do not have one of these...GET ONE! OMG...it took the guessing out of my running outdoors. No more driving the streets first to make sure I get the miles in. Yay!
This ends Week 7 of training with 39 miles.

You got it!
Thanks for the recommendation. I didn't need one until this marathon where I knew I had to get off the TM. When I transition to triathlon's, it will be very handy.

So I quit lifting for a couple months and focused on the bike. Today I returned to the weight room.
1:35 minutes on weights. 35:00 alone on legs. Squats, lunges, deadlifts, calf raises, adductor, hamstring curls, leg extensions and the swimmer. Also did biceps, triceps, back, shoulders, chest and abs. Don't expect me to walk tomorrow. Gonna spin on the trainer later.
7 mile spin on the trainer. 30:22. I kept my cadence over 100.

I've been very reluctant with this because I hear that it can lose the signal sometimes, especially around large buildings. I'm in Boston

Man, you are going to hurt tomorrow. Or maybe not tomorrow but Tuesday.
Isn't the Garmin a great gadget? I also find it very liberating to be able to run a course and know how far I have ran without trying to memorize trees, or mailboxes as mile markers. (Nice run too Noley!)
I've heard that too, Bill about the high buildings, but I don't know if it is true because I run under open skies or trees. Sometimes I lose a signal under trees, but it recovers quickly for me.
I did a core workout at the gym, very good stretching on my legs, and a little upper body on weights. I really feel good, and wanted to do more, but am afraid I might wake in hurting on Monday. My legs feel really good.
I swear by my ice baths.

That is still in production. They are using me as a crash dummy.
And yeah Kimba, prolly Tuesday will be worser. I agree with the ice bath thing too.

Much nicer run today. Slightly less distance, little more than slightly faster pace.

I really must be out of the loop. I didn't know there were so many Garmin Forerunner wearers out there. I've never needed one on that drasted TM!
