I knew I shouldn't've gone out today. The weather was a little better - 17 above, with a wind chill of 4. An awful lot of clothes on, which made some running difficult, but I was pretty comfortable nearly the whole run.

Shortly after the first mile, I turned south on a far north extension of the Green Bay Trail - this is just a half-mile, if that, from the IL/WI state line. Of the five miles on the trail, about 1 1/2 to 2 of them were ice-covered. Going on the grass was not an option - it was icy also. So the first hour only saw me get about 5 3/4 miles or so.

Second half much better - off the trail and on the roads, winds at my back. Much nicer. 7+ in the second hour. Night and day.

12.767 miles in 2:01:56.00. A 9:33.04 pace - 10:26 first half, 8:34 the second. Had the results been reversed, I'd be disappointed. But the second hald makes the overall pace a little more tolerable. Smile
