Long slow run. 10 miles in 1 hour 49. Felt much better today since I bailed on the long run yesterday.

I am used to hearing musical acts now on commercial stations you'd not expect otherwise. Mudvayne, Slipknot, even Korn with a respectable cover of Another Brick In The Wall/Goodbye (though they lose dude points for leaving the kids in there to sing).
But when you start out your run, and they play Ace of Spades by Motorhead, you know it's gonna be a special run. Once again, so much for partly cloudy with temps in the mid-40s. 34* and heavy rain - felt like I was carrying an extra 20 pounds, the clothes got so water-logged. The goal pace was 11:30.
About twelve miles in, my GPS began its (expected) death throes. First the time reverted to noon, and the date January 1. About ten minutes of that, and then, lights out, good-bye, farewell.
Fortunately, the course I ran was marked for the mileage. As far as the time, I checked the time before I began the run (something I never do). When I hit 18, I went back to the car counting the time. Did so until I got in the car, and saw the clock on the radio flip over. So this should be pretty accurate.
18 miles, time 2:57:24.00 (9:51 pace).

13.5 muddy soggy icy wet miles in 1:57:21 (8:42). My shoes felt like they weighed 10 lbs each in some parts of the trail. It was actually a pretty enjoyable run though.
