Nichole learned to ride her bike with out training wheels today! We were working on it last fall but haven't been out in awhile. Still needs to work on using her brakes and turning but she's doing really good!

What training method did you use? Did you hold the back of her seat and steady her? I look after a kid that at seven years old still couldn't ride a bike, but some rocket scientist at home had removed his training wheels. When I held onto his seat to steady him he would freeze up and panic like he thought I was going to push him off with bionic strength, so I had to leave him to push himself around all day until he got the hang of pedaling on his own. It only took a day, but I missed the whole Hallmark moment of letting go and watching him take those first few cranks himself.

She rode with training wheels before but I figured it was about time they came off.
We only had one wreck with tears. I was pretty proud tho when I dusted her off and asked if she was done for today and she said "If I fall down, I'm just gonna get back up again".
I also nearly peed my self with laughter while jogging beside her she was pedaling away with no help from me, with a death grip on the handle bars and a total look of concentration. Then she yells out "I'm the boss of you, Bike!!!"

Way to go, Nichole!
Next we need to teach her to say, "Bow to my superiority, you pathetic rodent" as she kicks all the boys on the playground to the curb....
