I heard some bad things about stretching lately. As much as people praised stretching in the past they are pointing out its side effects now. I have been stretching before workouts for the past 5 years and have felt only improvement from doing so. Stretching is great, don’t you think?

Well, stretching has its advantages. No doubt about that. The problem is that it has been praised too much and numerous positive effects have been attributed to it. Such unsubstantiated claims brought about counter effect. So many people started to claim that it is counterproductive and that it produces negative side effects. The truth is in the middle. It has definitely some benefits but it is far less than a miracle. If you use it wisely you may enjoy its benefits without any side effects.
