Since we're talking restaurants here today....
What's the strangest/wierdest place you've been to?
There's a place in Bismark, ND called Space Aliens Bar and Grill.
The whole thing is set up, like the restaurant is a crashed UFO, and the servers are actually aliens. The inside of the restaurant is completely decorated in old Sci-Fi stuff. Posters...action figures...comic books...Everywhere you look.
Good food too, but quite an original experience.

That is pretty whacked. We have a couple of those Nifty Fifties places around here that look like the Happy Days set, but that's about as weird as it gets. That and the Rainforest Cafe, which is cool-weird.

There was a restaurant in Germany which I think was called "The Cave" (in German, of course)
It was an actual cave with long wooden tables set up. They gave you a wooden cutting board and the only utensil was a sharp knife. You had to eat with your hands. You got "mead" (which was the best part of the meal) a large chunk of dry bread and chunks of fatty meat. There was a minstrel wandering around mocking the guests. For this meal we payed $50 each (10 years ago). If it hadn't been the going away party of someone we really cared about, we wouldn't have gone!

Back in the 70's (Yes there was civilization then too) I went to a Psychedelic Pizza place. It was all painted up in day glo, the pizza was mediocre at best.
Years later, I went back and it was a Mexican restaurant. If you looked really hard on the walls, you could still see some outlines of the painted over psychedelic paintings.
Somehow, Cream's "Strange Days" seems appropriate...
