| National Insurance Crime bureau wrote: | Top 10 Hottest Cities For Car Thieves
According to the National Insurance Crime Bureau, the cities with the most stolen cars are:
Phoenix-Mesa, Arizona
Fresno, California
Modesto, California
Stockton-Lodi, California
Las Vegas, Nevada
Miami, Florida
Sacramento, California
Oakland, California
Seattle-Bellevue-Everett, Washington
Tacoma, Washington
The top 10 car models stolen:
Toyota Camry
Honda Accord
Honda Civic
Ford Mustang
Toyota Corolla
Toyota pickup
Saturn SL
Acura Integra
Toyota van
Chevrolet Camaro |
As you can notice, Radnor is not on the list
Intresting facts is that the cars most stolen are also among the highest selling as far as numbers of units.

So if you live in Phoenix and drive a Camry, one could safely say that you'd be taking to bus to work some time soon?

Chevy Camaro? Cheryl, have you got a mullet?
I'm not surprised at all that the most popular cars to steal are also the most popular ones sold. It creates more demand for those cars, not to mention parts - and that's most likely what they are stolen for.
Why would you steal something like a Pinto - except for Ebay you'd never make quick cash.

Since my car is #1 on the list, I guess I'll have to avoid those cities! Next time I steal a car, it won't be a Camry!
