Anyone ever have this happen from a cortisone shot? I had an injection in my foot yesterday,, and the pain was so bad I passed out in the doctor's office. How embarassing! Embarassed

Instead of making the pain better, it has made it worse. The doctor said this happens sometimes. Never happened to me before.

When I had mine in my hip it burned a little bit, but I didn't pass out. I have a high pain tolerance though

I do as well, and I have had them in my hip before, and also my heel, with no strange reactions. This was into the ball of my foot, and maybe he hit a nerve or something. I've NEVER had a reaction like that. Plus, it's not relieving the existing pain, but rather exacerbating it.

Maybe (s)he did hit a nerve. Was the area numbed first?

Yes. he numbed it with a topical anesthetic. I kinda wish that when I passed out, I would have kicked him, just a little.... Evil or Very Mad

I locked my back up on my honeymoon.

Went to an immediate care center kind of place, where they put a cortisone shot right in my back.

I made it to the window to pay before it hit and I fell over.

YOW!

Of course the important question is...did you pee yourself?

Because of the pain or how much it cost for the shot?

No, I did not! I still wish I would have kicked him, just a little. The pain has subsided and now the foot is numb. I guess it's a better alternative than taking painkillers.

I hope you're 100% soon. Not feeling good, especially on your weekend, sucks!
