Hello all,

I'm putting together an event in South Florida whose aim is for people to run and walk for peace. The hope is for the quiet millions out there who hope for peace and talk about it amongst themselves in small groups to come out for one day and walk together to let their voice be heard.

One problem: I've never organized a race or walk before and I haven't the slightest clue how to do it. But I feel strongly about this and want to do it...Somehow, some way, it's going to get done.

You see, for the last year I've been calling all over the country telling anyone who'd listen about a project I'm working on. My project is putting together former Israeli soldiers and Palestinians together to deliver Christmas gifts to children in Bethlehem this year.

I've been calling all over to get the word out hoping to find a way to raise the funds. Some people have helped but we're a long way from getting it done. I'm hoping a few run/walk events like this will help us get the word out and make some money.

Has anyone on the board put together an event before? Would you be willing to give some advice? We sure can use all the help.

p.s. if you want to read about what we're doing check us out at: http://bcProject.info
