How many times do the Steelers score 29 pts and lose? It doesn't appear to be their year....

So much for their top-rated defense.

They looked TERRIBLE, too. They kind of deserved the loss - the game against the Jets was less than stellar as well. They had to realize that they couldn't make the same kind of mistakes with the Pats and get away with it.

They should be set up well for next year, though.

They had their moment to get back into it and failed to capitalize. Ben and co. had driven for three solid drives and two touchdowns while the D had Brady pretty much contained in the NE possessions in that period. But when they failed to get in from the four on three plays and kicked the field goal, you could feel that momentum evaporate, not to mention hear the boos raining down toward Cowher from the faithful at Heinz Field. It was over right there.

A TD would have made it a seven pt game early in the 4th with serious momentum. But twas not to be. My Terrible Towel has now been put back in its place on honor (my undie drawer) to await next season.

But my adopted home-town Eagles are going to kick some serious butt!!! At the very least, I really don't think the Pats will be able to cover the spread.

Not that I'm advising illegal gaming, but if you happened to be in Vegas or something. . .

I was just getting ready to ask Joe what the hell game he watched... Embarassed

turnovers turnovers turnovers. The Stinkers turned the ball over, the Pats didn't. New England a very fundamentally sound game, Pittsburgh was close to it but not close enough.
