Don't forget the referee crew that seemed intent on helping the steelers out....

As good as the Stillers played, the officiating sucked in this game.

VERY happy to see them win, but I would have liked them to actually WIN, not just kind of luck into it.

i was telling my roomie that i can see the Seattle papers now. I'm surprised no one call the FBI and reported a football game being stolen.
i thought the game was pretty good but yes the officiating well, sucked more than a Dyson.

One other thing that I noticed, is that there were an awful lot of Steelers players (and the coach) with the Lombardi trophy and talking about what it means during the game. Seemed a bit odd

I thought the same thing.
I didn't care one way or the other who won, and I'm not a conspiracy theorist, but if the fix was ever in, it was last night.
Seattle did their part to botch it, certainly, but the poor officiating really killed Seattle drives.

we thought this was weird too and i actually thought they were maybe playing the seahawks version of that piece in the seattle market, with all seahawks players. i don't think so though.
truthfully, the steelers, much as i love them, played like poo. the seahawks are a good team and their nerves got the best of them as well. i'd love to see the playoffs end one weekend and the superbowl be played the very next with no build up, no hype, no T&A, no disney world spots, no NOTHING. i kinda think it's cruel and unusual punishment for all of the players and the staff to have to go thru that hype and build up. do they even know where they are when they come out on the field???
even hines ward, who seemed fairly "on" last night, confessed to being beside himself with nerves all day and hitting the field was a surreal experience that he couldn't get over until the second half.
they should call it the nervous bowl. it surely isn't representative of how anyone played all season.
= ben on the field last night.

the game was somewhat of a sleeper. Steelers needed to be more aggressive.
the bar owner poured shots for everyone every time the Steelers got a touchdown. Yes. it was quite a party!

That was weird. Why did they all get their pictures taken with the trophy if they haven't won it yet? They shouldn't even get to look at it before the end of the game.
