I totally forgot that tonight is parent-teacher conference night. I have to be at school from 5-8pm. This is totally pointless for me. for the following reasons:
1. conferences are by request this time (teachers request to meet with parents.
2. these conferences usually mean that the student is about to fail.
3. even if this student has a low grade in my class, the parent is more concerned that s/he will be repeating the grade level.
I'll just be sitting around, doing nothing.

So, between the end of school and the beginning of the conferences, go out and buy some chocolate chip cookies. Offer them to just about everyone.
